Russell rush of blood costs Pat’s

Joe Gormley’s second-half goal saw Cliftonville dump St Patrick’s Athletic out of the Setanta Sports Cup last night.

In the proverbial game of two halves, St. Pat’s completely dominated the opening 45 minutes as they chased the 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

However, Cliftonville were much the better side in the second half, and the game turned when John Russell was dismissed for a two-footed tackle on Ciaran Caldwell on 65 minutes.
