Doyle out to put things right

Ireland and Birmingham City goalkeeper Colin Doyle wants to banish some demons in today’s FA Cup fifth round tie against Chelsea.

The Cork stopper was on a high heading into his Premier League debut at Stamford Bridge in 2007 having helped the Blues to promotion and with a first senior cap to show for his efforts.

However, a mistake by the25-year-old gifted Chelsea agoal in their 3-2 win and it was downhill from there. Doyle has struggled to regain his place but starts as boss Chris Hughton sticks to his policy of giving the understudy game-time in cup competitions.
