Stanley may look to Cook

Sligo Rovers boss Paul Cook could be returning to one of his former clubs, Accrington Stanley, as the League Two side’s new manager.

Stanley may look to Cook

The vacancy at the club arises following John Coleman’s exit to Rochdale last week and, although local sources say caretaker boss Leam Richardson is still in pole position to fill the post, it’s understood Stanley have asked to talk to Cook.

A former player and coach at the club, Liverpool-born Cook has been in charge at the Showgrounds since 2007, during which time he has led the club to back-to-back FAI Cup success as well as European qualification.
