Euro call-up for Irish refs

Some of Ireland’s top referees were appointed to European action yesterday.

Alan Kelly will lead a team of Irish officials at a Europa League round of 32 second leg fixture on February 22 or 23. Damien MacGraith and Marc Douglas will act as assistants with Neil Doyle as fourth official. Pádraig Sutton and Tomas Connolly will take the additional assistant roles.

Robert Rogers is to officiate at the UEFA U19 Championships Elite Round Group Five (May 22–29). Wayne McDonnell will officiate at the same event as assistant referee.

Denmark, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus compete in the group, hosted by the Danes.
