Musician and Manchester City fanatic Patrick Knowles has composed a piece of music called ‘Balotelli — Why Always Me’.

And now he wants to take it further by writing a jazz opera telling the life story of the Manchester City striker.

Patrick, 65, told the Manchester Evening News he has been so fascinated by the controversial Italian superstar since he joined the Blues in 2010, he has decided to write a jazz opera in his honour.

He said: “By normal standards he’s crazy but people haven’t had his experience. Now he does things like go to a casino with Chris Samba and hands some of his winnings to a tramp.

“To put that to music would be amazing. I believe this guy is going to be the biggest thing since Cassius Clay.”
