Ticket torment turns Roy’s trip to Latics sour
“Wigan’s a good club for me because there’s generally spare seats in the far stand, away from the main one,” he said.
“I went to the woman at the window. ‘Can I buy a ticket?’ She said, ‘Can we have your details?’ ‘Do you have to?’ I asked. She said it was okay and I handed over my 20 quid, got my ticket. ‘Good value’, I thought. Watched the game, enjoyed it, pie at half-time, six goals, no one recognised me, didn’t have to make small talk, good day.”
