Keane to use MLS off-season to rest up for Euro finals

ROBBIE KEANE has ruled out any loan deal back to the Premier League in the new year, claiming yesterday that he will use the time off to clear up some minor injuries.

The MLS season does not get going again until mid-March but the Ireland captain said that although he had received some calls about his availability, he will resist the temptation to occupy himself during the off-season with competitive football.

“It’s a good opportunity for me to relax,” the LA Galaxy striker told mlssoccer.com. “I have a few niggles to clear up and will look forward to getting back [to training] in January.”
