Forde: Debut best day of my life

WOLVES starlet Anthony Forde has described his Premier League debut against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as “the best day of his life”.

Forde: Debut best day of my life

The 18-year-old Limerick native — a key part of the Irish U-19 side in last summer’s European Championship — became the first Wolves outfield Academy graduate to make his Premier League debut under Mick McCarthy.

“It was massive. Probably one of the best days of my life. It was just an amazing feeling getting on the pitch. I got on for 15 minutes and the clock just flew when I got on,” Forde explained. “I had travelled before for Premier League games but I had never been on the bench. My name was called out for the squad in the hotel and when he named me on the bench I was delighted,” he added. .
