Home attacks force Stokes to move house

CONTROVERSIAL Irish striker Anthony Stokes has been forced to move house after his home was attacked for the second time.

Home attacks force Stokes to move house

The Celtic frontman had decided to get out of his home after a group of 15 people shouted death threats and sang sectarian songs, while a wheelie bin was thrown against his living room window last year.

However he decided to move early when a gang attacked the house again last week at around 2.30am, smashing one of the front windows and causing damage to a car outside. His pregnant girlfriend Debbie Lawlor was home alone as the Dubliner was away in Inverness preparing for an SPL tie.

“I’ve moved house, but I’d arranged it a month or so ago. I’ve moved two weeks earlier,” he said last night.

“It’s just one of those things. I’ve been fine.

“For me, at times when you have things going on in your personal life, it’s good to get into the training ground and take your mind off other things.”
