Beckham still putting the Great in GB

IT WAS a week when you could only marvel once more at the remarkable hold David Beckham has over the English media. His plans, his dreams, his family; it’s as if these are now the plans and dreams and family of a nation.

But just as Alex Ferguson, a long time ago, had to wrestle with the pros and cons of having Brand Beckham on your doorstep, not everybody is on message.
