Wolves come first for Ireland’s Hunt

AFTER the euphoria of leading the Republic of Ireland into the Euro 2012 finals, Stephen Hunt lamented a loss that emphasised where his focus will be for the next six months.

While he will relish playing on such an international stage for his country, the winger is desperate to help his club Wolves avoid relegation from the Premier League.

“On Wednesday I had one eye on the Euros, but I’m at the club for six months now before the Euros and my job is to play well for them,” said Hunt. “It won’t be a distraction.”
