Delaney backs Trap’s way as Italian ‘delivers’ dream result
After confirming he would discuss the issue of retaining the Italian’s contract with the board over the next two weeks, he admitted Trapattoni is unlikely to change his footballing philosophy at this stage in his life.
“He’s 71 or 72 years of age, he’s not going to change his style. His style is effective. As I said to someone the other night, do you want to lose at home to Slovakia 4-3 in a cracking match or do you want to draw no score and get to the finals?” he said.
