Cech jokes further headgear will make him look like Batman

CHELSEA goalkeeper Petr Cech has joked he would look like Batman if he was to wear another special protective headgear after breaking his nose against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The availability of the 29-year-old for Czech Republic’s Euro 2012 play-offs against Montenegro is under doubt as more tests are to be carried out before he can be passed fit to take to the pitch.

The former Rennes custodian, who wears a scrum cap after suffering a serious head injury in 2006, is reluctant to say whether he will recover in time for his country’s crucial games but joked about wearing more protective gear.
