Mancini side steps Tevez

MANCHESTER City manager Roberto Mancini tried to divert attention away from the ongoing Carlos Tevez saga as he faced the media yesterday.

Mancini, who has not spoken significantly on the matter since accusing Tevez of refusing to play at Bayern Munich last month, refused to answer questions on the Argentinian at a routine pre-match press conference.

As has now become customary, Mancini’s briefing was preceded by a warning from a club official the subject was not permitted.
