Barton-Taarabt spat played down

NEIL WARNOCK has downplayed suggestions of a falling out between his controversial midfield stars Joey Barton and Adel Taarabt.

Warnock was forced to remind Barton about his conduct this week after the former Newcastle midfielder criticised Taarabt following the 1-1 draw against Blackburn.

Barton said in a radio interview that Taarabt had a long way to go to live up the hype surrounding the Morocco midfielder.
