Lazio rule in fiery Roman derby

GERMANY star Miroslav Klose struck a 90th minute winner as Lazio beat Roma 2-1 in a fiery Eternal City derby last night at the Stadio Olimpico.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo gave Roma a sixth-minute lead but in the 51st minute Brazil’s Hernanes equalised from the spot, with Simon Kjaer sent off for Roma. Klose then struck a late winner to snatch the spoils.

Chievo proved once again to be leaders Juventus’ bogey side as they held the Bianconeri to a goalless draw at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Udinese — behind Juve only on goals scored — lost Giampiero Pinzi to a red card but drew 0-0 at Atalanta.

Inter Milan’s dismal start to the season continued as they were beaten 2-1 at Catania on Saturday night despite taking a sixth-minute lead through Esteban Cambiasso. Sergio Almiron and a Francesco Lodi penalty turned the game around in the second half. AC Milan picked up their second win after downing Palermo 3-0 at home. Napoli lost 2-1 at home to Parma.
