REPUBLIC of Ireland centre back Richard Dunne’s time at Manchester City may have been marred by the way he was shunted out of the club, but the Aston Villa defender still has a soft spot for the club.

“Yeah, massively,” said Dunne when asked if things had changed since his time in Manchester. “They’ve progressed and everyone can see the influence that the money has had on the club. They’re a club that is really going places. It’s all come good for them, and their fans deserve it.
