SHANE LONG caused Wolves defenders trouble throughout the derby yesterday and the Albion striker hopes to do enough to replace the suspended Kevin Doyle in the first leg of Ireland’s Euro 2012 play-off with Estonia.

“This is my first derby as a player and I tried to psyche myself up for it,” he said. “I think the crowd got right behind us. Jonas (Olsson) made a great stop to stop it being 1-0 and we came out second half and it could have been three or four.

“Going in to the game today we knew a win was essential. It is a massive result for us and we need to win at home as much as possible.”
