Wilshere facing up to five months out

ARSENAL midfielder Jack Wilshere suffered a blow yesterday after it emerged he could be out of action for longer than expected.

Wilshere has been struggling with an ankle problem all season and he has not featured for club or country this term.

The 19-year-old sustained the original problem in the Euro 2012 qualifier between England and Switzerland in June and then aggravated it in a pre-season game against the New York Red Bulls at the Emirates Stadium a month later.
