Doyle on mark as Wolves prove a point

Goals from Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle and Matt Jarvis in a three-minutes spell before half-time secured the points for Wolves and McCarthy hopes the manner of victory will draw a line under the criticism his side received from Fulham captain Danny Murphy last season.

Murphy criticised what he viewed as Wolves’ aggressive approach in the aftermath of a tackle by Karl Henry that resulted in Bobby Zamora suffering a broken leg following a challenge by last September.
