Norwich, playing a first top-flight game since 2005, secured what could prove to be a useful point after trailing to an early penalty at the DW Stadium.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game, but we equipped ourselves well out there, and certainly deserved a point,” said Hoolahan, who smashed home Norwich’s equaliser from close range.
