IRELAND’S U19s last night forgot about Tuesday’s hammering by Serbia as they won the second game of this week’s double-header friendly in Belgrade.

Paul Doolin made eight chances to the side beaten 3-0 and freshness worked as Wexford teen David Murphy’s first-half goal proved the difference.

Southend United winger George Smith created the opening on 32 minutes by delivering a cross into the box where Reading striker Murphy rose above Serbia goalkeeper Filip Pajovic to nod home the winner.
