Given finally completes Villa move

SHAY GIVEN was last night looking forward to getting regular first-team football again after finally completing his move from Manchester City to Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper found first-team opportunities at City limited last season after Joe Hart became Roberto Mancini’s preferred option.

As a result it was expected that the 35-year-old would be off to pastures new and he emerged as an Aston Villa target after Brad Friedel’s move to Tottenham.
