Ireland star St Ledger joins Sven’s Foxes

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND defender Sean St Ledger yesterday joined Championship side Leicester City from Preston for an undisclosed fee.

After Preston’s relegation from the Championship it was inevitable St Ledger would be on the move and he was linked with a number of clubs before the Foxes won the chase for his signature.

St Ledger joins Leicester on a three-year deal to become manager Sven-Goran Eriksson’s fourth signing of the summer as he seeks to build a team that can challenge for promotion to the Premier League.
