Robin denies double attack

ARSENAL striker Robin van Persie last night denied claims that he launched an astonishing verbal assault on Chelsea and Barcelona.

Dutch TV quoted the striker of accusing the Blues of “always bitching” about referees and telling them to “‘shut the f**k up”.

Van Persie, who was controversially sent off in the Gunners’ UEFA Champions League last-16 defeat against Barcelona this season, is said to have said of the European champions: “They [Barca players] always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked.
