Waterford march on

Murphy struck on 39 minutes when Willie John Kiely did well out on the right to put the ball on a plate for the striker and he fired past keeper Deegan with a first time right-footed strike from 10 yards.

Murphy doubled the lead after 56 minutes when Gary Keane and Michael Coady linked up out on the left and after the left-back fed the ball into the path of the Wexford-born centre forward, he volleyed home at the back post.
