WIGAN chairman Dave Whelan insists the Latics have not had any enquiries for Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy.

Liverpool and Chelsea have both been linked with moves for the former Hamilton youngster this summer.

However Whelan is hoping to keep hold of the Republic of Ireland international and claims the club have no offers for any of their players, including McCarthy.
