Van Persie: We share fans’ frustration

IF ARSENAL’S perennially-frustrated supporters are currently driven to distraction by the way their team’s season has deteriorated and disintegrated then spare a thought for striker Robin van Persie who has enjoyed the best goalscoring campaign of his career but still seen it end in boos.

Van Persie: We share fans’ frustration

Dutchman Van Persie has been the shining light of Arsenal’s troubled season; he’s scored 23 goals in 34 games going into the final match at Fulham on Sunday despite having spent almost 10 weeks of the campaign injured — and in many people’s eyes has overtaken even Cesc Fabregas as his side’s most influential player.
