Ex-City man Lougheed aiming for title number three

THIS coming Sunday is a third FAI Intermediate Cup final with Avondale United for Eoghan Lougheed.

Ex-City man Lougheed aiming for title number three

A non-playing squad member as John Caulfield’s side beat Blarney United in 2006, the attacking left-back won a medal against Bangor Celtic the following year and was also involved as they lost in the decider against Crumlin United last season.

Now, another trip to Turner’s Cross beckons for the clash with another Dublin side, Cherry Orchard. Had things worked out differently, Lougheed could have been gracing the Cross regularly this year with Cork City after joining them last summer but has no regrets about returning to Avondale.
