FORMER Ireland midfielder Steven Reid is delighted to be playing regular Premier League football again under new West Brom manager Roy Hodgson and believes his decision to quit international football has been vindicated.

After a loan spell the previous season, manager Roberto Di Matteo signed Reid on a permanent contract from Blackburn, but appearances under the former Italian international in the Premier League this season consisted of cameo roles as substitute.

Former Liverpool and Fulham boss Roy Hodgson breezed into the club in February taking over from Di Matteo and revitalised a struggling West Brom side who were heading for the Championship.
