Pennant set to lead by example

JERMAINE PENNANT is ready to play a leading role for Stoke when the Potters head to Wembley for tomorrow’s FA Cup semi-final against Bolton.

Now 28, Pennant’s travels have taken him from Notts County to Spain via Arsenal, Birmingham, Liverpool and Portsmouth.

In 2007, Pennant was part of the Liverpool team beaten by AC Milan in the Champions League final, and he said: “I know what it’s like — I know the pressure. As soon as you get out there, you’ve got to think of it as another game.
