ASTON VILLA manager Gerard Houllier declared Richard Dunne’s recent bust-up with backroom staff as “water under the bridge” after the defender starred in their victory over Newcastle.

James Collins, Dunne’s partner in crime in the row during a team-building trip last month, scored the only goal of the game at Villa Park as Houllier’s side moved five points clear of trouble with a 1-0 win.

Houllier felt the goal was a worthy reward for Collins’ efforts and also declared the incident which led to the Welshman and Dunne being fined two weeks’ wages over.
