Players missing the 12th man

IRELAND’S captain tonight, Stephen Kelly, has revealed that the poor attendances at the Aviva Stadium have become a talking point among the Irish squad — and he believes lowering the ticket prices is one way fans could be enticed to fill the new home of Irish football.

“Of course you want to see it full, every player wants to play in front of a packed stadium,” the Fulham defender said.

“Actually, we had a chat about going back to when we qualified for tournaments and Lansdowne was always sold-out, always packed.
