Fleming makes up for gaffe by thwarting Rusk

The students have got off to a good start in the mini-league of sides tipped to be fighting relegation at the end of the season, with four points now secured in two games against their nearest rivals, following the opening weekend win over Drogheda.

They could have taken all three last night when referee Rob Rogers awarded them a penalty in the first minute of the second half after United goalkeeper Greg Fleming took down Darren Meenan in the box. However, the United keeper made amends by saving Graham Rusk’s spot-kick.
