Orient skipper Dawson set to miss FA Cup replay

LEYTON ORIENT skipper Stephen Dawson looks set to miss Wednesday’s FA Cup replay at Arsenal and could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Irish midfielder, below, was taken to hospital after he was stretchered off with a knee injury during the first half of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Huddersfield.

Orient will also be without on-loan Tottenham striker Harry Kane at the Emirates after he was sent off in the second half.

“Dawson’s gone off for an x-ray and we’ve lost Harry Kane as well, so with our small squad it doesn’t help,’’ said manager Russell Slade.

“It looks like a knee injury for Stephen. There appears to be no damage to his bones, but clearly he’s done some ligament damage. We don’t know the extent of that and he’ll need a scan for us to know.”
