FULHAM’S players were left shaken by an aeroplane scare on their return from Portugal on Thursday, manager Mark Hughes has revealed.

The Cottagers’ plane, which was carrying them home from their training camp, was forced to turn back and land shortly after take-off due to a malfunctioning undercarriage.

The squad then had to wait several hours before boarding another aircraft and returning home.
