Coleman’s time has come

THE Donegal Express will finally pull in at the Aviva Stadium tonight, which is better late than never for the disgruntled commuters who were left waiting on the platform in November.

Coleman’s time has come

Giovanni Trapattoni’s decision to leave Seamus Coleman on the bench in the friendly against Norway was one of the biggest talking points of a 1-2 defeat but Coleman now says he thinks a little perspective is necessary.

“I know that in the press there was a big deal about me not playing, but two years ago I was playing for Sligo Rovers so I can’t be getting carried away,” says the Everton tyro. “I was just happy to be in the squad for the Norway game and now that the manager has picked me to play tonight then that’ll be one of my ambitions achieved. It would be great to win a first cap, whether it be in defence or midfield or up front or wherever, I don’t mind as long as I get some game time.”
