LIVERPOOL are set to pull captain Steven Gerrard out of international duty with England this week after he ended the match against Chelsea with a groin injury.

Gerrard will link up his with his national team today ahead of a friendly in Denmark on Wednesday but is likely to be sent straight back to Anfield.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish said: “He’s got a groin problem. He’ll report, but he won’t be playing.”
