Keane move on a knife edge

THE odds still favour a move to West Ham for Robbie Keane, even though Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has cast doubt on the transfer taking place.

With Monday’s transfer window deadline looming large, Keane’s immediate future appears to be balanced on a knife edge amid conflicting statements yesterday from White Hart Lane and Upton Park.

At his weekly press conference, Redknapp indicated that Ireland’s captain and record goalscorer could still be a Spurs player on February 1 — and he was quick to counter reports earlier this week that the Dubliner would be axed from his 25-man squad for the remainder of the season.
