Clubs circle for keeper Westwood
The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper is regarded as one of the finest shot-stoppers outside of the top flight and has generated plenty of speculation in the past.
Tottenham are believed to have made a late effort to try and sign him during the 2010 January transfer window, while numerous other clubs are reported to be admirers of his talent.
Westwood would demand a healthy fee and if reports of a ÂŁ2 million valuation are to be believed, the Sky Blues would struggle to turn down such an offer.
Coventry chairman Ray Ranson admits the race is on to land his signature. âWe have had a number of Premier League clubs show an interest in him,â he said.
Everton and Wigan are believed to be among those monitoring Westwoodâs situation, but reports of a bid having already been lodged by Wigan as wide of the mark.
