Pardew: Carroll not for sale

NEWCASTLE boss Alan Pardew has told Tottenham not to bother putting together a £30 million (€35.6m) bid for striker Andy Carroll.

The 22-year-old was in the stands at the Stadium of Light yesterday to watch the Magpies’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland as he continued his recovery from a thigh injury.

He arrived on Wearside after waking yesterday morning to see reports that the north London club are ready to step up their bid to sign him during the remaining two weeks of the transfer window.
