Hodgson dismisses revenge talk for Pool’s ‘low point’

LIVERPOOL manager Roy Hodgson is not looking for revenge at Blackpool on St Stephen’s Day but admits the “low point” of a home defeat by the Seasiders prompted a turnaround in performances.

The 2-1 loss at Anfield on October 3 was their third in seven Barclays Premier League games as the Reds endured the worst start to a season since 1953/54.

Although they have since lost a further four times their tally from the subsequent 10 fixtures has earned 16 points with a marked improvement in displays from the team.
