BOLTON manager Owen Coyle was understandably thrilled with his side’s courageous qualities as Wanderers moved back into the Premier League’s top six thanks to victory against their local rivals.

The former Republic of Ireland international striker has been a revelation since taking over from Gary Megson in January, first of all keeping his new club afloat last season and turning them into European contenders this term.

He may have changed the style of play to be easier on the eye, but his side had to show all the qualities that now Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce’s teams were famous for when he was Bolton boss.
