United look to tie up Lindegaard deal
Lindegaard plays for Danish club Aalesund and the club’s chairman is believed to be in Manchester with the player’s agent to conclude the deal.
Meanwhile, midfielder Darren Fletcher is expecting more points to be dropped than ever before during this season.
Chelsea, Arsenal and City have all lost three times, while United, although remaining unbeaten, have drawn more matches than they have won. It is a trend United midfielder Fletcher believes will continue.
“The Premier League is tough,” said the Scotland captain. “The standard has risen because the other teams are getting better. There will be a lot more points dropped than there have been in previous seasons.”
United captain Rio Ferdinand is battling a hamstring injury and is a doubt as United host Wigan tomorrow.
