Wenger: Fabregas will be fit for Shakhtar

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger says Cesc Fabregas, right, will be fit for the clash with Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, despite playing ‘within himself’ against West Ham.

The Gunners skipper played 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over the Hammers on Saturday, as his side earned a late victory thanks to a header from Alex Song.

Wenger has revealed that the Spanish midfielder was struggling with a hamstring strain at half-time and that he was considering taking him off.
