FAI eye extra Slovakia tickets

THE FAI are looking for more tickets from the Slovakian FA for the Euro 2012 Group B qualifier in Zilina on October 12, after demand from Irish fans exceeded the 1,092 tickets that the home association is obliged to provide.

The FAI say that they are also in the process of arranging transport with the Slovakian authorities between the capital Bratislava and Zilina for supporters who are attending the match. Despite protests from the FAI, the Slovakian FA switched the game from its original venue in the capital.

Ahead of the home qualifier match against Russia in Aviva Stadium on Friday October 8, Iarnród Éireann have also announced that they have day return trains to/from Cork / Limerick, Galway and for the first time to/from Waterford (calling at Carlow and Kilkenny) that will enable supporters to return home after the match. Details are available on www.irishrail.ie
