The FAI say that they are also in the process of arranging transport with the Slovakian authorities between the capital Bratislava and Zilina for supporters who are attending the match. Despite protests from the FAI, the Slovakian FA switched the game from its original venue in the capital.

Ahead of the home qualifier match against Russia in Aviva Stadium on Friday October 8, Iarnród Éireann have also announced that they have day return trains to/from Cork / Limerick, Galway and for the first time to/from Waterford (calling at Carlow and Kilkenny) that will enable supporters to return home after the match.
