Eduardo on brink of Shakhtar switch

EDUARDO looks set to bring his three-year spell at Arsenal to an end in the next 24 hours by completing a £6 million (€7.1m) move to Ukranian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Croatian striker has agreed personal terms for the move, taking advice on the subject from national team manager Slaven Bilic.

“I spoke with Eduardo,’’ Bilic said. “He was very pleased with the move to Shakhtar. He is going to a strong league. This season they will once again play in the Champions League, have many difficult matches and this is excellent for the national team.
