Reid to remain with Baggies

REPUBLIC of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid has joined West Brom on a permanent basis after signing a two-year contract.

The midfielder, who had also been linked with other clubs including Celtic, spent the final two months of the season on loan with the Baggies, and has now agreed to join them for their return to the Barclays Premier League next season.

Reid, 29, will officially join on July 1 after he passed a medical, and has the option of a further 12-month extension on his contract.
