Trap buoyed by battling win

KEVIN DOYLE has become one of Europe’s top players, according to Giovanni Trapattoni.

The Wolves striker won the man of the match award at the RDS last night, and afterwards his manager paid tribute to the former Cork City striker who he has watched grow and grow under his reign as Ireland manager.

Doyle scored the opening goal and led the line well throughout before leaving the field to a rousing ovation.
