Quinn: no fixed budget for Bruce

SUNDERLAND chairman Niall Quinn has revealed manager Steve Bruce will not have a fixed transfer budget this summer.

Instead, he will identify his targets and then present a case for each of them to the club’s hierarchy.

Bruce has already signed Paraguay international midfielder Cristian Riveros and secured the services of Bolo Zenden for another year, while the likes of Daryl Murphy, David Healy, Nyron Nosworthy, George McCartney and Teemu Tainio could all leave the Stadium of Light this summer.
